Former Miss South India Shravya Sudhakar was interrogated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in connection with the Nedumbassery gold smuggling case here on Monday. Shravya Sudhakar arrived at the CBI office in the afternoon, after the investigating agency issued summons to her for recording her statement.
According to CBI officials, during the investigation of the case, they had received information that the former beauty queen was familiar with Fayaz, the fourth accused in the case.
“We had received Call Record Details (CDR) of communication between Fayaz and Shravya. She also made several trips to Dubai which were suspected to have been arranged by Fayaz. She was called to the office for recording her statement with regard to her connections with Fayaz. She is cooperating with our procedure,” a CBI official said.
